For the last couple of weeks,I've been working on drawings, trying to translate these stories into symbols. Some come easily, I can see it. I started painting a couple of those. I so love to get lost in painting.
I can't tell if your framing is dimensional or only seems that way. Puts me in mind of your father's ancient discovery paintings with their very "ancient" framing. Also - I have a feeling I have held actual metal mats in my hands, embossed in this way -
